Wann: Juli 2010 Wo: Montserrat The Cudjoe Head Festival is seen as one of the gateways to the island’s strong African culture. Named after a runaway slave, Cudjoe, who was caught and beheaded by his master in the 18th century the village of Cudjoe Head comes alive with activities that include a small group serenading the village at 5 a.m., followed by breakfast in the center of the village and culminates with a dance competition between the girls in the village.
